おはこんばんちは！
平均年齢80歳の婆ちゃるアイドルグループ「メタばあちゃん」です！

「メタばあちゃん」とは、元気が有り余っているユニークなおばあちゃんたちをメタバースの世界で人気アイドルに育てていくプロジェクトです。
元気なおばあちゃんたちの姿を通して「挑戦は何歳からでも遅くないこと」を証明していきます。

●Introduction

Hello!
We are "Meta Grandma", an idol group of grandmothers whose average age is 80 years old!

“Meta Grandma" is a project to develop unique grandmothers who have plenty of energy into popular idols in the world of the Metaverse.
Through the appearance of these energetic grandmothers, we will prove that it is not too late to take on challenges, no matter how old you are.

このプロジェクトで実現したいこと

メタバースで音楽ライブを開催したいというおばあちゃんたちの夢を叶えたいです。メンバーは個人でボーカルレッスンをしたり、朝からカラオケスナックに通い詰めたりして皆さまに歌声を披露することを楽しみにしております。

デビューからわずか10日でYouTube登録3万人。順調そうに見えますがデビュー後約5ヵ月の収益は実は合計で約2万円です。孫がおばあちゃんをつかってお金儲けをしているという風に見られたくなかったのでスーパーチャットなどは使用せず、活動資金は持ち出しで行ってきました。（※最近YouTubeのメンバーシップを始めさせていただきました！）

みなさまの力をお借りし有料ではなく無料で世界中の人におばあちゃんたちの挑戦の様子を届けたいです。

We would like to fulfill the dream of the grandmothers to hold a live music concert in Metaverse. One of the members has been taking private vocal lessons, and Another one is going to karaoke snack bars in the morning to show off their singing voices to everyone.

Only 10 days after our debut, We have 30,000 YouTube subscribers. Although it may seem like a steady stream, the total earnings in the five months since her debut have actually totaled about 20,000 yen(=about 150 USD). We didn't want to be seen as a grandson making money off of his grandmother, so we didn't use Superchat or anything like that, and have been using my own money to fund our activities. (*We have recently started a YouTube membership!)

With your help, we would like to share the grandmothers' challenge with people around the world for free, not for a fee.

これまでの活動

2022年12月に当時世界最高齢VTuberとして85歳の「ひろこ」がデビューしました。アイドルグループとして活動するために「75歳以上」しか応募できないというVTuberオーディションを実施。YouTubeチャンネルはデビュー10日後に登録者3万人を突破し、ひろこは週刊朝日「今年“跳ねる”100人の主役」に選出されました。2023年3月には応募総数60名以上の中から「ハマコ・はなえ・かおる」が1期生として加入し平均年齢80歳の婆ちゃるアイドルグループとなりました。YouTube動画は約30％が海外からの視聴者にご覧いただいており、世界にも目を向けた活動をしていきます！

Activities

In December 2022, 85-year-old Hiroko debuted as the world's oldest VTuber at the time. We held an audition for VTubers who were only 75 years old or older to apply to be part of an idol group. Within 10 days of her debut, her YouTube channel had more than 30,000 YouTube subscribers. "Hiroko" was selected as one of the "100 Leading Role Who Will Bounce This Year" by Weekly Asahi. In March 2023, "Hamako, Hanae, and Kaoru" joined the group as the first term members out of more than 60 applicants, becoming an idol group with an average age of 80 years old. We will continue our activities with an eye to the world!

We will use the funds raised mainly for the production of a virtual live performance to be held on Respect-for-Senior-Citizens Day.

Ticket in VRChat (September 18th about noon JST)
VRChatにQuestで入場できる方限定のリターンとなります。当日、会場にてライブを観覧できます。正式な時間が決まりましたら早めにご報告いたします。現時点では9月18日(祝)お昼頃の予定です。
This return is limited to those who can enter the VRChat by Quest. You will be able to watch the live performance at the venue on the day of the event. We will inform you as soon as the official time is decided.
At the moment, it is scheduled around noon on September 18 (national holiday).

最後に

「メタばあちゃん」ひろこ、本当は数回動画を出したら終わりの予定でした。

皆さんからの質問に答えたり、いただいたコメントを読んだり、動画を見た親戚と昔話で盛り上がったり、そういう日々を過ごす中でひろこおばあちゃんがどんどんイキイキと前のめりになり、最近は「暴れたりんのぉ」とぼやいてます。

そんなひろこの活動を見て、「私もメタバースの世界で活動したい！」「バーチャルで音楽ライブを開催し世界中に歌を届けたい！」という熱い想いをもったメンバーが揃いました。個人でボーカルレッスンをしたり、朝からカラオケスナックに通い詰めたりして皆さまに歌声を披露することを楽しみにしております。

赤字覚悟でもメンバーの夢を叶えてあげたいです。実はデビューしてからも交通事故に遭遇してしまったり、ご家族が体調を崩されてしまって活動が継続できないかもしれないというメンバーもおりました。本当に今しかありません。

Message

We had planned to finish "Meta Grandma" Hiroko after just a few videos.

But as she spent her days answering everyone's questions, reading the comments she received, and chatting with relatives who watched her videos about the old days, Grandma Hiroko became more and more energetic, and recently she has been complaining, "I don't have time to be unsatisfactory.”

Seeing Hiroko's activities, members who want to be active in the world of the Metaverse too and to hold a virtual live music concert and deliver songs to the world were gathered. Members are looking forward to showcasing our singing voices to everyone by taking private vocal lessons and going to karaoke snack bars from morning till night.

I want to make the members' dreams come true, even if I have to go into the red. In fact, even after our debut, some of our members have been involved in traffic accidents or had family members become ill and may not be able to continue their activities. It is really now or never.
